Introduction about Google My Business For Lawyers

Did you know that 30-50% of people ONLY click on the Google Maps listings when they are searching for a service?

Strangely enough, most law firms are still neglecting their presence in Google Maps.

This presents an exciting opportunity to stand out from the pack.

It’s time to discover how Google My Business for lawyers can get more clients on the local map pack.

Here are 3 proven strategies.

Fill out the info section

Write up to 750 words of useful information about your business and include relevant keywords. Use this tool to find high traffic keywords.

I can’t stress this point enough. You simply MUST fill this part out. Otherwise, you’re missing out on valuable traffic.

Add More Photos and Videos

The general rule is –

Upload lots of great photos and videos. You’ll get way more website clicks, calls and direction requests. In fact, the research is quite alarming. For example, businesses with more than 100 images get 520% more calls than the average business, while those with just one image get 71% fewer.

Don’t forget to upload a video. Literally NO ONE is doing this right now. But, Google WANTS you to upload a video. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be an option. So, stand out by being an industry leader.

You can also see how many people are looking at your photos and videos. The numbers are generally quite high. So, in case you’re wondering – yes, people will definitely look at your photos and videos.

Bonus tip: geotag your photos with your office location! Once again, I don’t know anyone who’s doing this (besides me!)

Post updates

Research shows that businesses that post on Google My Business receive more website traffic from Google search.

I suggest you post at least once a month. Follow the instructions in GMB to see what you should be posting about. Always include a linked button that directs users where you want them to go. For example, if you’ve hired a new family lawyer, add their photo and link to your phone number so the user can book a consultation.
